Austin Semarjian is Executive Vice President for Industrial Commercial Properties (ICP). Since joining ICP in 2017, Austin has completed over 75 leases, acquisitions, and dispositions totaling $200 million in value. Austin is responsible for the continued growth and value of the portfolio by increasing occupancy, retaining tenants, and acquiring high-quality assets.
Austin successfully leased the 1.4 million-square-foot former American Greetings Headquarters in Brooklyn. He was responsible for signing nine tenants, including Medical Mutual, and bringing over 2,000 jobs back to the complex and the city of Brooklyn.
Austin’s keen intuition for development projects that will garner the most impact, often by rejuvenating a community and bringing jobs back to once languishing real estate, prompted ICP to acquire the former Geauga Lake Amusement Park site in Bainbridge Township and Aurora.
Austin is responsible for all leasing at Highland Park, ICP’s new business park located at Transportation and I-480. Previously known as City View Center, the property had been mostly vacant since 2015 before ICP’s repurposing efforts. Austin’s work and marketing efforts have turned this once stigmatized retail center into a vibrant business park. Highland Park is now viewed as an exciting prospect for the city of Garfield Heights and light-industrial users looking for a new home with a central location.
Austin was awarded Crain’s Cleveland “40 Under 40” designation in 2021. Co-Star awarded Austin the Power Broker designation in 2019, 2020 and 2021 for Industrial and Office leasing in 2020. Austin is a TeamNEO Right Sites Council member and was selected to be a 2020 Greater Cleveland Partnership LEAD Cohort member. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business with a focus in Finance from The Ohio State University.
