CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING MANAGER. Industrial Commercial Construction, the very active construction division of Industrial Commercial Properties (icpllc.com) is seeking a Construction Accounting Manager to support our organization with strong bookkeeping/accounting abilities. This individual will handle bookkeeping, reconciliation of projects, working with outside Accounting Firm, organization, reporting, communication, and documentation, etc. The ideal candidate must have great bookkeeping/accounting knowledge along with computer, communication, and time management skills. Previous experience in the construction industry is very helpful, but not required.
Construction Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
Maintain all monthly accounting functions for the construction division, including but not limited to:
- Banking and Bank Reconciliations
- Monthly Financial Reports
- General Ledger Maintenance, Recording & Reconciliation
- Reporting for Ownership and Finance Department
- Accounts Receivable application and recording of payments
- Intercompany Payables and Reconciliation
- Quarterly Financial Reporting to Executives and Bank
- Payroll Entries
- Quarterly True up Reconciliations
- Project Reconciliations
- Accurate Cash Application Tracking
- Prepare all reporting for Year End for outside Accounting Firm
Accounting Manager Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required – additional college such as a bachelor’s degree is very valuable
- Minimum 5 years of experience of bookkeeping or accounting is needed – previous accounting duties in a busy construction office are ideal.
- Familiarity with the construction industry is desired but not required
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills are needed
- Foundation Software Experience is desired, but not required
- Proficient in computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
